The Okuma Makaira Special Edition Lever Drag Reels are gaining an enthusiastic following due to their durability, drag systems and cranking power. These two-speed, high performance reels utilize special screw ports around side plate screws to reduce water/corrosion buildup. Makaira Special Edition Reels have an open top frame design and open spool bearings with TSI-301 oil, increasing freespool by 2.5 times. All non-spool bearings have a full grease pack for maximum longevity.
